Spain is widely known for its flamenco music, bull-fights, fantastic beaches and sunny climate. However, the country has much more to offer than that. It is one of the cultural centres of Europe. Spain has beautiful cities, towns and villages boasting a rich architectural heritage: a reflection of the country's fascinating history.

The waters of the Mediterranean bathe most of its coastline; to the North the Costa Brava, and to the south the Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol, not forgetting the shores of the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera). The Canary Islands, which also belong to Spain, enjoy sunshine throughout the year. Spain's most visited cities are Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Valencia. They all offer a wonderful combination of the old and the new, the traditional and the modern.
